No. Procerin does not cause hair loss. Some men notice more hair in the shower or on the pillow in the first few weeks. That is normal shedding, and it is a healthy part of how hair grows.
Why you might see more hair at first
Every hair on your head goes through a cycle. It grows for several years, stops, then rests for about three months. At the end of the rest phase the old hair falls out, and a new hair starts growing from the same follicle.
At any time, about 10 to 15 percent of your hair is in that resting phase. Most people shed 50 to 100 hairs a day without noticing. When you start a hair loss treatment you start watching your hair closely, and those hairs are easier to spot.
The hairs you see falling out had already finished growing. They are making room for new growth, not leaving for good.
Shedding is common, and it is temporary
Early shedding is common when men start a hair loss treatment. It usually settles within the first 1 to 2 months. Many men also shed more in late summer and fall, which is the normal seasonal pattern for scalp hair.
Give Procerin at least 1 to 2 months before you judge your results. You can read about our 90-day study on the Clinical Study page.
Normal shedding or something else?
- Normal shedding: single hairs spread across the scalp, often with a small white bulb at the root.
- See a doctor if: hair comes out in clumps or patches, your scalp is red, itchy or sore, or heavy shedding lasts longer than 3 months.
